Can recommend ice for the swelling

Strengthening exercises of the glutes, hamstrings and core
Would want to look at gait

What is Frozen Shoulder?
Freezing stage: gradual one of shoulder pain. pain at night 3-9 months
Frozen stage: pain starts to subside, loss of glenohumeral motion in capulsar pattern 4-12 months
Thawing phase: improvement in ROM 1- 3 1/2 years
What is the capsular pattern?
LR > abd > MR
Objective for frozen shoulder
Palpation: hot- inflammatory stage
Treatment
Depends if pain is > stiffness
Pain > stiffness
gentle self assisted ROM
Maitland mobilisations grade 1 and 2
corticosteroid injection
Stiffness > pain
active movements stretching the joint capsule mobilisations- accessory grade 3 and 4 exercises: crawling up the wall and putting cane above head, pendulum stretch, can eventually think about strengthening
