What is talipes?
A
Also known as clubfoot
Inverted foot and downwards

What causes talipes?
A
Tightness in the muscles around the ankle and the position the baby was in whilst in the womb

How can talipes be treated?
A
Exercises
Making sure baby’s clothing isn’t too tight
Massaging the foot and ankle

What is torticollis?
A
Also called wry neck
Twisted and tilted neck

What is torticollis caused by?
A
Damage to neck muscles or blood supply
Can be congenital or acquired
Head may be in the wrong position in the womb

Types of torticollis
A
Fixed: problem with none of muscular structure
Temporary: disappears after one or 2 days due to swollen lymph nodes, ear infection, cold or an injury to the head
