Q

How effective has aid been for homeless

A

While significant efforts were made to provide emergency shelter and support, the scale of disaster and challenge in rebuilding communities meant that many individuals faced prolonged periods of homelessness and inadequate housing. This was due to the socioeconomic vulnerabilities of affected populations, such as poverty which further complicated efforts to address homelessness and house needs. Efforts to provide permanent housing for everyone will last for years but the effectiveness of aid so far as been outstanding.

Q

How effective has aid been for unemployment/economy

A

Despite progress many areas still experience unemployment and economic challenges due to local constraints and their access to resources. There may be an overreliance on external support which can hinder efforts to build local capacity and stimulate economic growth in affected areas. However the continued efforts to support the Philippines economic recovery has promoted resilience and hope for the future to that one day all livelihoods are improved.
