A

human knowledge and behavior acquisition can occur through observation of media models, a process called vicarious learning.
Most effective if attractive and similar to the Viewers. Mistakes preventing and Postive Situation copieng.

Again EE did not really play an educational roal but more People were more open minded to father research of the topic and also more willingly to discuss sexual education more.

Boomerang effect

A

Less safe sex among male participants after exposure to EE.
Males Could not identify with the character on the show and watched it less frequently. Also the message was framed as soemthing negative from beginning on.

A

Para social interaction occurs when the viewer perceives a relationship of friendship with a media personality based on affective ties with that person

Differences between Para social and Homophilly

A

Parasocial interaction is attraction to a media person whereas homophily is based on similarity. Both can support a postive learning outcome.
