Q

How do you make a clearing turn

A

First raise the wing in the direction of the turn to clear any traffic. Use approximately 30° of bank to make the turn. Use one of two methods to make the turn. I turn 90° to the left followed by a 90° turn to the right back to your original heading or a 180° turn.

Adverse yaw It’s caused by increased drag on the downhill run. This makes the airplane your opposite to the direction you want to turn. Anytime you have the aileron deflected you need to add brother to correct for adverse yaw.

Q

How do you roll out of the turn

A

Do you roll out of the term start taking the bank out at a heading about half of the bank angle. I had Abdi heading at which you want to have completed stopped turning. For example in a 30° bank turn you you should start rolling out of the turn about 15° before the heading do you want to roll out on.
