What is the difference between Vx and VY
To reach the highest altitude in the shortest amount of distance you need best angle of climb which is designated as Vx
In the Cessna Skyhawks this is 62 knots
But, if you want to reach the highest altitude in the shortest amount of time you need the best rate of climb this is designated as VY and this is usually at 74 knots.
