Explain the management of a TIA if less than 24 hours since onset
- 300mg of clopidogrel and 300mg of aspirin should be taken initiall
- for 21 days 75mg of clopidogrel and 75mg of aspirin should be taken
- monotherapy of just 75mg clopidogrel should be conitnued
when should assessment with a stroke specialist occur after TIA
if less than 7 days since onsent -> within 24 hours
if more than 7 days since onset -> within 7 days

diffusion weighted MRI

what is the acute and what is the prophylactic treatment of meniere’s disease?
acute- prochlorperazine (may also use antihistamines such as cyclizine)
prophylactic- betahistine
how does acute vestibular neuritis and viral labyrinthitis differ?
labyrinthitis might affect hearing but vestibular neuritis wont
how are acoustic neuromas diagnosed?
MRI of the cerebellopontine angle
what are two complications of acoustic neuromas and what nerves are they associated with?
facial nerve- facial paralysis
