Typhoon - West Pacific

A

Eye - calmest part of the storm
Eyewall - Destructive, extreme wind
Rainband - Rainy & windy

What are the factors needed for cyclones to form?

A
  • Sea surface temperature of 26.5+ (Gives the cyclone strength and energy)
  • Low wind shear (Prevents the cyclone from being interfered with)
  • Humid air (This allows them to form storm clouds)
