A
Behaviours, thoughts and acts that promote personal well being. People who can develop the ability to withstand, adapt and to recover.

A
- Educating themselves about hazards and what to do
- Prepare emergency survival kit with tinned food, medical supplies and water
- Small scale defenses such as sand bags
- Planning their own evacuation routes

How can ‘Insurance’ affect people?
A
- Economic losses will be compensated
- Allows for home, car and life insurance
- People in LICs might not be able to afford it

How can people ‘Adopt new technologies’?
A
- Building on stilts in case of flooding
- Using tyres as foundation and bamboo for structural integrity
- Adapting warning systems such as phone alerts.
