tendon thickens ot sheath it runs in tightens - meaning the tendon cannot move smoothly through the sheath
there may be a nodule on the tendon

presentation
A
troublesome finger that..
- is painful and tender (usually around MCP joint)
- does not move smoothly
- makes pop or click sound
- gets stuck in flexion
symptoms typically worse in morning

A
rest and analgesia
splinting
steroid injections
surgery to release A1 pulley
