A

sudden onset pain

snapping sound + sensation

unable to stand on tiptoes
weakness of plantar flexion

simmond’s calf squeeze test

A

normally squeeizng calf muscles will cause plantarflexion of ankle

if achilles tendon rupture, squeezing calf will not cause plantarflexion

lack of plantar flexion is positive result
