What is selective logging?
Cutting down only the larger trees in the forest. This allows the smaller younger trees to grow.
What is clear cutting?
Logging of ALL the trees in the forested area
What is reforestation?
Human planting new trees.
What is Regeneration?
Natural process of renewal in a forest. Seed spread by animals such as squirrels,birds and the wind
What are some of the things you can learn about the life of a tree?
It’s age, and experiences Ex. Diseases, insects, fire, drought, over crowing, rains alots, grow on a slope.
What do you recommend that our government should do to protect the forest?
I think that the Government should do way more Reforestation. Also I think we should cut less trees down by doing Selective Logging. The Government should stop clear Cutting all together.
