Q

Why why do the bulbs in brightly in a parallel circuit than a series circuit?

A

Light glow brightly in parallel circuit because each bulb is connected by more than one needs to a power source

Q

What is the difference between a parallel and series circuit?

A
  1. The bulbs in a series circuit all share the same pathway, the same electrical current. If one bulb is removed all the Bulbs go out. A gap is created and circuit is no longer complete
  2. The bulbs in parallel circuit each have their own pathway. If one ball is removed the other lights remain on. The electrical current flows through another and circuit remains complete
  3. Because the bulb in a series circuit share the same electrical current ( total voltage of the battery) the bulbs are going to be dim. Each time the current flow through the bulb, the power is
    resisted
  4. Because the bulbs in a parallel circuit each have their own electrical current (each receive maximum voltage ) there is less resistant and bulbs are bright.

Q

What effect does it have on adding a battery to a series and parallel circuits? Which circuit does it have the greatest effect?

A

When used 1 battery to connect series circuit, we observed a small flicker in one of the bulbs, no Flicker in other two. All three bulbs, were dimly lit in the parallel circuit. When we used two batteries all three bulbs in a series circuit were dimly lit. The bulbs closest to the battery were best lit as the circuit moved away from the power source, the bulbs got dimmer. All three bulbs were equally Lit in the parallel circuit
