What are the seizure treat and discharge criteria
A
- Pt is ≥18 and <65 y/o
- Pt has a history of epilepsy
- Pt is taking their anticonvulsant meds as prescribed
- Pt only had 1 seizure in past 24 hrs
- Seizure pattern and duration in similar to past seizures
- Pt has returned to their normal LOC
- Complete set of vitals (w/ temperature) are within normal range
- Seizure must no be related to hypoglycemia, alcohol or substance abuse, or withdrawl
- Pt must not have received midazolam from medics
- Pt did not injure themselves during seizure
- Pt doesn’t have a fever, preceding illness, or recently started new meds
- pt is not prego

What are the treat and discharge criteria that apply to all cases (that last section)
A
- Responsible adult stays with pt for the next 4 hours
- All of their questions were answered
- The patient of SDM have been advised to follow up with primary health care team
- Clear instruction on when to call 911
- They have access to call 911
- Patient or SDM consents to the discharge

What are the hypoglycemia treat and discharge criteria
A
- The pt is ≥18 and <65 y/o
- Pt has a diagnosis of diabetes
- Hypoglycemia can be explained by insulin administration with inadequate oral intake
- HypoG responsed to single dose of dextrose, glucagon, or oral glucose
- This was a single isolated episdoe of symptomatic hypoG within the past 24 hours
- BGL is ≥ 4 mmol/L after treatment
- Pt has returned to their normal LOC and are asymptomatic
- Complete set of vital singns are within normal limits
- Not an intentional OD
- Pt is not prego
- No seizure or reported history of seizure prior to paramedic treatment
- Not on oral hypoglycemic medication
- HypoG is not considered to be related to an acute medical illness
- HypoG must not be related to alcohol or substance abuse or withdrawal
