In what time frame would you expect to not see a small hemorrhage on CT?
after a few days blood gets degraded and can be hard to see on CT (subacute bleed)
difference between acute vs chronic subdural hematoma
acute will have hyperdense blood after a few days (< 3 days)
chronic will have hypodense (degraded) blood and happens over weeks
Areas of brain most commonly involved in TBI
temporal and inferior frontal lobes
What medication should you think about giving within 8 hrs of spinal cord injury?
High dose IV methylprednisolone
