What is the criteria for PTSD?
TRAUMA
traumatic event (death, serious injury, sexual violence)- direct, witnessing, learning, repeated exposure
Reexperiencing = memories, flashbacks, nightmares
Arousal (hyperarousal) = hyper-vigilance, irritable behavior, reckless, exaggerated startle response, problems with concentration, sleep disturbance (2)
Unable to function = negative beliefs, inability to remember, distorted cognition, persistent negative emotional state, diminished interest, feelings of detachment, inability to experience positive emotions (2)
Month or more

What is the criteria for PTSD for under the age of 6?
TRAUMA
Traumatic experience: directly, witnessing, learning via caregiver
Re-experiencing: play reenactment, nightmares, flashbacks,
Arousal (hyper): startle, hyperviligance, irritability, concentration, sleep (2)

What is the criteria for acute stress disorder?
TRAUMA NO M
Traumatic event
Need 9 of the symptoms in the criteria (intrusion symptoms, negative mood, dissociative symptoms, avoidance symptoms, arousal symptoms)
Occurring for at least three days and up to a month
What is the criteria for adjustment disorder?
Stressor occurring within 3 months causing emotional or behavioral symptoms
Leads to distress and impairment
Symptoms do not persist for more than an additional 6 months
What is reactive attachment disorder?
Occurs before the age of 5, child is withdrawn from the care giver not seeking comfort or responding to comfort.
Two or more disturbance with minimal social and emotional responsiveness to others, limited positive affect, unexplained emotions when interacting with caregivers
One: pattern of extremes or insufficient care (social neglect) HAS to occur first
What is the criteria for disinhibition social engagement disorder?
Child interacts with unfamiliar adults with two:
Approaching unfamiliar adults
Verbal or physical behavior
Diminished absent checking in with adult caregiver
Willingness to go off with an unfamiliar adult
Caused by social neglect or changes in caregiver (the cause)
What is the criteria for prolonged grief disorder
Death within 12 months OR 6 months for children/adolescents
Yearning and/or thoughts nearly every day for the last month
