Transport principals rode Flashcards
different types of road transport
Buses, Cars, Coaches, Hire cars, Private cars, Taxis
Buses
Most bus companies privately owned, so aim to make a profit
This means they concentrate on profitable routes as opposed to less popular (and normally rural!) services
Tourists are most likely to use buses in large tourist cities
Coaches
Coach companies have recently begun to adapt their products to meet customer needs
So, coaches are now often luxurious, provide wifi, power sockets, or the opposite - and provide a very cheap economical way of getting from A to B!
‘Fly coach’ holidays exist
Hire cars
