What factors affect the transpiration rate?
A
light intensity, temperature, air flow, humidity.

Light intensity?
A
brighter light, greater transpiration rate.

Temperature?
A
the warmer it is, the faster transpiration occurs as water particles have more energy to evaporate and diffuse out of stomata.

Air flow?
A
better air flow surrounding the leaf, greater transpiration rate.
if air flow is poor, water vapour surrounds the leaf therefore there’s a high concentration of water particles outside and inside the leaf so diffusion doesn’t happen as quickly.

A
the drier the air around the leaf, the faster transpiration happens.
