What is the transition period?

A

Around 2 hours - or +
Babies are normally active in the first couple of hours post birth but after a couple of hours they fall asleep. 2-3 hours after birth they become less active and interested in external stimuli, heart rate should stabilise at 100-140bpm .
The second period of reactivity occurs between 4-6 hours
