Q

Describe the process of Transcription.

A

Helicase unwinds the DNA.
RNA polymerase copies the antisense strand, to make a complementary strand.
This detaches from the DNA, this is mRNA.
It leaves the nucleus

Q

Describe translation/protein synthesis

A

mRNA is engulfed by a ribosome, in the cytoplasm.

A tRNA molecule (clover shaped thing) lines up its anticodons against complementary mRNA.

Peptide links are formed and make a polypeptide chain.
