How do you raise the Trip when you need to drive with it raised?
Master key OFF
Trip the Trip Cock Lifting Device CB behind fire extinguisher
Activate cab
Isolate Trip Cock Bypass
Once raised, how do you drive?
Operate the MAD button every 45 seconds
When rescuing/rescued where do you turn the BP Mode key switch?
In the coupled cabs you turn it to the 2 o’clock position
Select appropriate no. on selector switch
What key do you use to turn BP Mode key switch
Siemens D Key
How do you know it has worked?
Brake Pipe Mode Indicator lights will flash on console and towards opposite cab
What are the positions of the BP Mode Selector Switch?
0 - OFF
1 - Pushed by other train
2 - Pulling other train
3 - Pulled by other train
4 - Pushing the train
What does the Towing Unit (TU1) do?
Reads and writes to and from the BP during non-electrical rescue
Converts electric signals into appropriate pneumatic pressure
When is the Towing Cock used?
For coupling with a Comeng
What does the towing cock do?
Reduces MR pressure to 700kPa so the Comeng safety valve doesn’t open safety loop
When braking and powering controlled from a cab other than leading cab what speed?
15kmh
When braking controlled from leading and powering from another cab what speed?
40kmh
When braking and powering from leading cab what speed?
Reduced Speed
During rescue, how is the holding break disabled in the disabled train?
TCU CB is tripped in every cab
What position will the Master Selector Switch be in on a disabled train being pushed or pulled?
Set speed
What position will the Master Selector Switch be in on an assisting train pushing or pulling?
