Lighting will extinguish
Doors will lock
How long do you stable a train for fault rectification?
2 minutes
Where is the CB panel in TC located?
RHS door 2
What are 3 causes of critical defect indicator?
Fault in pneumatic friction brake system
2 SIVs defective in one unit
Defective wheel slip unit affecting operation of sanders
If you get a critical fault indicator and you can move the train what should you do?
Operate at low speed
Detrain passengers
Shunt to nearest siding
If you get a critical fault indicator and you can’t move the train what should you check?
Inspect:
Friction Brake and Monitoring MCB - in affected unit
Inspect Static Inverter Monitoring MCB - in TC
Why will the Maintenance Fault indicator illuminate?
What does Reduced Performance fault light mean?
Motors are out
Can driver fix traction faults?
No -
TCU will automatically isolate motors
During wheel slide what do you do if Reduced Performance light illuminates?
MCH to coast for a few seconds to see if it clears
What happens if a cab is active and another cab is made active?
Another cab active indicator illuminates in both cabs
Buzzer sounds in cab where attempt to make cab active is being made
What do you do if another cab active indicator is illuminated?
Check for cleaners keys
Cab to cab
Inspect each cab for keys
What do
You do if you have checked all cabs and no keys found?
Activate and deactivate each cab
If active cab cannot be deactivated trip Cab/Train Manned CB - cuts power supply to that cabs driver console
