If the batteries have failed what is the emergency procedure to start the SIVs?

A

Press Train Stable

Trip Panto Motor CB

Raise local panto manually

Proceed to A side of TC, insert triangle key into SIV, remove cover and press excite button for 5 seconds or so until it clicks

Return to cab and activate

Push Panto Up button

Reset Panto Motor CB

If you can’t rectify a FDCL at a platform what do you do?

A

PA, Cab unattended, TEC call

Locate door and close by pushing ‘button’ button.

  • if door remains open trip corresponding door CB, then manually close

Insert tri-key into isolation port and rotate 90 degrees clockwise

  • reset CB if required

Observe DOOR OUT OF ORDER light illuminated

Push door open button to confirm door does not open

Apply sticker

Operate safety loop bypass and run on secondary circuit

Find door with illuminated out of use light

isolate with tri-key
