If CCTV fault light is illuminated and screen is inoperative what do you do?
CCTV Central Control CB
DC-DC Inverter PA, PI Display CB
If set - trip and reset
If tripped - reset
If unable to reset book TMM
If PID isn’t working what do you do?
DC-DC Inverter PA, PI Display CB
Passenger Information Display CB
If set - trip and reset
If tripped - reset
If unable to reset book TMM and make manual announcements
If DTRS is not working how do you reset it?
Deactivate cab
Trip and reset DTRS CB
Activate cab
Re-enter TDN
Radio test
TMM
If you were unable to reset DTRS how do you isolate it?
Deactivate cab
Trip DTRS CB
Reactivate cab
Place portable radio into DTRS cradle - unpowered
What happens if stand alone PA and DTRS PA are both inoperative?
Train removed from service
If PA system not working what do you do?
PA fault light illuminated
Check PA System CB
Check DC-DC Inverter PA, PI Display CB
If tripped, reset
If not tripped use DTRS PA
If PA system fails in running what do you do?
Check DTRS PA operational
If so, TMM and continue running
If PA system fails in running and DTRS PA also failed what do you do?
Check all CBs in leading cab
If all set - trip DC-DC Inverter PA, PI Display CB for 2 minutes
Reset it and check PA
If operational book as rectified in running
If inoperative train must be removed from service
What does the Panto Control CB do?
Train lined
Raises all pantographs
What does Panto Motor CB do?
Local
Isolated the pantograph in that cab.
What do you do if one or more pantographs fail to raise?
Check Panto Control CB in driving cab
Check Panto Motor CB in affected driving cab
If either tripped, reset and push Panto Up button
If CB set and pantos fail to raise, try another cab, or operate manually (RHS door 2, 2nd panel)
What do you do if all Pantographs fail to raise?
Check Panto Control CB in affected cab
If tripped - reset
If set - trip and reset
Push Panto Up button
Observe pantos raise
What do you do if you have tripped and reset Panto Control CB and all pantos still don’t raise?
Check if they will raise from another motor
If they don’t - Train Stable from leading motor
Wait 1 minute
- Trip Panto Motor CB
- Raise lead panto manually (RHS door 2, 2nd panel)
- Press Panto Up button
- Reset Panto Motor MCB
What do you do if Pantos fail to lower when Train Stable button is pressed?
Check Train Stable HSCB & Light Control MCB in local driving cab
If tripped - reset
If set - trip and reset
Check Shutdown Delay CB in T Car
If tripped - reset
If set - trip and reset
If you have checked Train Stable, HSCB & Light Control MCB and Shutdown Delay CB and Pantos still won’t lower what do you do?
Trip TCU CB as it is possible the TCU doesn’t realise the train is stationary
If tripped - set and press Stable button
if set, press Stable button
If pantos still don’t lower leave them in raised position and book TMM
