What are the three uses for a Train
Authority?
- Obstruction (required to return to the rear) unless in station limits
- Assisting a Disabled train (unless the train is already in the same section)
- Safeworking System Failures (eg signal box failure)

It must be cancelled (CANCELLED, time, date, signature)

Can a Train Authority give authority in station limits?
No, the authority comes from the Controlling Signaller in station limits
When arriving at a signal box at the rear, how far must you stop?
What must be done?
100m before the outer most set of points
Verbal permission from the controlling signaller must be obtained before entering (Or a proceed fixed signal)
How is a Train Authority cancelled at:
A locally controlled location
A remotely controlled location
Locally controlled= Hand the train authority to the Signaller (who will then cancel and inform the Train controller)
Remotely= Driver to cancel and notify Train controller
