What is the purpose of a Dual Control Point Machine?
What are the two levers on a DCPM? What are their positions?
*Enable the points to be either operated remotely by a Signaller or (in case of failure) by either a Driver or competent employee acting under instruction
- Selector= HAND or MOTOR
- Hand throw lever= NORMAL and REVERSE(diverging track)

What is the purpose of the selector lever’s HAND position?
*to prevent remote control in the the event of a failure
*to protect the train by holding the signals at STOP

What controls does a EHPM have?

*Power/Manual switch
*RED directional control lever
*Pump handle socket with pump handle
NORMAL, CENTRE, REVERSE
How must the Driver secure the EHPM after use?
*Move the pump handle to the VERTICAL position
*Leave the POWER/MANUAL switch in MANUAL
*Close and lock the lid
*Apply the hand locking bar
Can you place an EHPM back to POWER after use, or remove the a locking bar or point clip?
