Wy was Trafalgar square-built

A

First attempt at a grand, historic monument to celebrate military victory and national pride
In dedication to Nelson and the statue was built in 1859

A

The area to the south of the square, on the lower level, was previously known as Charring Cross. The station was named this to remember it

A

1874, it was created as a road to the riverside. Named after the large, Jacobean house that used to stand on the corner of the square
