Knees bent 80, legs together, one hand hand lower legs to support other hand resisting Pt lifting up
Obliques external attachments
Lower ribs 5-12 and linea alba, pubis, anterior illiac crest
Obliques external movements
Bilaterally - flex torso
Unilateral - sidebending and rotation of trunk to opposite side
Obliques external nerve supply
Anterior rami of the thoracic spinal nerves T7-T12
Obliques external
One hand on Pts knee other on shoulder, resist Pt attempting to bring them together
Obliques internal attachment
Inguinal ligament, anterior iliac crest, thoracolumbar fascia, and costal cartilage of ribs 9-12
Obliques internal movements
Bilaterally - flex torso
Unilateral - sidebending and rotation of trunk to opposite side
