- Variation with a range of possibilities

- Variation with a limited number of possibilities
Ex. blood type, eye color, ability to curl tongue

A
- Characteristic that shows up when mixed with a recessive characteristic
Ex. curly hair, non ability to role tongue, brown eye color

Recessive Trait
A
- Characteristic that will only show up when mixed with another recessive trait
- Will not show up when mixed with dominant trait
Ex. blue eyes, ability to role tongue, straight hair

Nature vs Nuture
A
- Not all traits are inherited. Traits like scars or injuries are not caused by genetics.
- Some traits like weight are changed with and without genetics

A
- Environmental factors that cause changes to the DNA

- Chemicals that cause mutations
- Pregnant people cannot have x rays because there is a risk that there fetus will get mutations
Ex. x rays, ultraviolet rays
