Customer deals to encourage sales, such as discounts, deals, vouchers, competitions after a sale etc

Door to door personal selling to fully explain a product and eradicate delivery costs and gain feedback.

Two types, informative and persuasive.
Uses the media to communicate with consumers.
But, costly, possibly not target market, competitors.

Ensures consumers have a good opinion of he organisation. Through sponsorships, charity events, launch parties and competitions,
Method of promotion: branding
Creating an identity for a firm and its products that differentiate it from its competitors.
What is promotional mix?
The combination of promotional activities
3 aims of promotion
To raise awareness
To increase market share against competitors
To remind consumers of a product that is maturing in the product life cycle
