Q

define a parallel circuit

A

components connected in parallel each have their own branch in a circuit connected to the + and - terminal of the supply. if you remove or disconnect one of them it will hardly effect any of the other components.

summary of series circuits 3 important rules

A

pd across each branch is same a the pd of the source pd
the current is split across the branches and the total current is the sum of the current of each branch
the total resistance of a parallel circuit is less than the smallest resistance of an individual circuit branch
