Q

what is a series circuit

A

different components are connected in a line end to end between + and - ends of the power supply. as soon as you disconnect or remove a component from the circuit the circuit is broken. series circuit is to simply measure quantities and measure components.

summary : 4 important rules of series circuits

A

potential difference of all the cells adds up to the total potential difference
the total potential difference is split across all components
current is the same through all components
total resistance of the circuit is the sum of all the resistances of the separate.
