What was his theory?
A
That there is a link between maternal deprivation and deviant behaviour, that a child needs to be close with the primary carer to develop normally.

What is affectionless psychopathy?
A
Where the mother-child attachment is broken due to separation, as to where the child becomes unable to form a meaningful emotional relationship

How did he conduct his study?
A
He based his study on 44 juvenile thieves, which were referred to a child guidance clinic.

What results did he find from his study?
A
That 39 out of the 44 of the juveniles suffered maternal deprivation for six months or more before the age of 5.
