Q

Why are twins used?

A

As twins were born and raised at the same time whilst also being the same age and therefore there isnt any bias or differences as to how they were raised.

Q

Strengths of this theory

A

.Monozygotic twins are genetically identical, logical that their behaviour will also be identical
.higher concordance rate for identical than non identical twins

Q

Limitations of this theory

A

.If genes were the only cause of criminality then identical shows would show 100% concordance
.adoptive family is chosen due to similarity to birth family
.impossible to isolate and measure the effects of genes separately
