Is technically difficult to complete so needs complete concentrations.

Clear, simple phases. Can be broken down to practice each part separately.

A lot of complex phases. Can’t be split to practice separately.

A continuum.

Practicing until the skill is learned, without taking a break.

It is usually conducted by experienced athletes.

Practicing over several sessions or with rest breaks.

Tends to be used by athletes of lower ability.
