Crohn’s disease is a
chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes inflammation in the digestive tract
Symptoms;
Diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight loss, anemia, fatigue, mouth sores, rectal bleeding, and fever
Causes:
unknown, but it may be related to genetics, an autoimmune reaction, or environmental factors
Risk factors
Family history, smoking, and certain medications
Treatment:
NO CURE
Medications and sometimes surgery can reduce symptoms and lead to long-term remission
Management
A food diary can help identify personal triggers, and limiting dairy products, eating smaller meals, and staying hydrated can help
