Q

Types of connective and supporting tissue (6)

A

Bone - strong like a tree’s trunk to support body

Ligament - tough but flexible to join bone to bone

Adipose - fatty tissue that cushions and supports internal organs

Tendon - tough but flexible to connect muscle to bone

Cartilage - tough but flexible and spongy, found in ears, nose, trachea

Blood cells – RBCs: they lack a nucleus at maturity to increase surface area to increase 02 capacity
WBCs: to fight infection
