Q

What does the quote ‘maps too. The sun shines, through their borderlines… roads…rail-tracks’?

A

Maps segregate and divide the natural world, through mans power, man chooses how to divide the natural world to ‘Borderlines’ this shows how man is trying to exert power onto nature. Nature overpowers man through ‘the sunshine’ a symbol of nature but it overpowers the paper. The listing device reflects, mans desire to order and control everything even the natural environment.
