What are the differences between the two types of timbers
1) Softwood comes from coniferous trees.
They are EVERGREEN and have NEEDLE like LEAVES.
2) Hardwood come from deciduous trees.
They are BROAD-LEAFED and lose leaves over WINTER

Softwoods grow faster and hence have lighter colour and are generally cheaper than hardwood.
Define and name advantages of manufactured boards.
Sheets of timber made by gluing either wood fibres or wood layers.
They can be made to a specified size and tend to twist or warp than natural timbers.
Why does wood have less environmental impact than other materials?
It is RENEWABLE so won’t replenish if we use it in a controlled manner. ORGANIC so so sutainable and helps REDUCING into CLIMATE CHANGE as it requires LESS ENERGY to MANUFACTURE it compared to other materials.
