A
- victim has opportunity to claim compensation
- court has more accurate picture of offender
- saves court time
- defendant more likely to receive lesser sentence
- clears defendant of outstanding offences - a clean slate
- police can gain valuable intel

What is Tic?
A
Whereby a defendant can ask a court to take into consideration other offences of a similar nature to the one which their court appearance relates (in the hope that they will be given a lighter sentence)
