What is evidence?
A
‘Information that may be presented To a court or tribunal in order that it may decide some fact.’

Which 3 ways may evidence be presented at court in?
A
- Oral - a witness testimony
- Real - an article/ object (ie knife)
- Documentary - a will/ invoice/ email/ photographs etc

What did lord denning say in 1969?
A
Don’t confine the evidence you present to court to only the best evidence, you need to account for all Evidence and let the court decide how to use that evidence.

What is hearsay evidence?
A
What a person heard another day -
But it is by known if this is fact - generally inadmissible in court as cannot be cross examined

What is it called if you lie under oath?
A
Perjury
= Up To 7 years in prison
An oath is a promise to tell the truth
