Signs:
- hyperactive, insomnia
- heat intolerance, rapid heart rate
- weight loss
- exophtalamos

- Thioamides
- inhibit TPO organification and iodotyrosine –> block synthesis

Radioiodine therapy
A
- pereferrred treatment for most patients
- high uptake by thyroid
- effect by B rays and cell destruction
- 80% will become hypothyroid post treatment
