A

Causes

  • elevated thyroid
  • autoimmune disorder
    • IgG ab’s bind and activate TSH on thyroid
  • iatrogenic = overzealous T4 supplementation
  • Neoplasms
  • infection/inflammation of thyroid

Signs:

  • hyperactive, insomnia
  • heat intolerance, rapid heart rate
  • weight loss
  • exophtalamos
