-refers to beliefs that an athletes predictability to be aggressive builds up over time before being expressed

-modelling=will attempt to re-model aggressive behaviours
-reinforcement=stage in which the individual repeats the behaviour modelled

“aggression comes from you being frustrated by not achieving goals or having progress towards a goal blocked”
-psychologist observed that the most aggressive acts occur when people are frustrated

-many individuals will develop coping strategies and learn how to control their frustration
