Themes Flashcards
THEME: Business Case
Reasons for the project, documents benefits that must exceed the costs. Is the project worthwhile and achievable?
THEME: Organisation
The required roles and responsibilities for a project (e.g., project board, project manager, project team, other stakeholders, etc.)
This should be documented and recorded by the project manager.
THEME: Risk
Describe how the project will manage risks.
THEME: Quality
Ensure that the product(s) meets the requirements of the project.
THEME: Plan
Project/stage/team plans for use in the project. Describes how targets will be achieved, focusing on products, timescale, cost, quality, and benefits.
THEME: Change
Describe how changes to the project scope or product descriptions and delivery will be managed. This relates to handling change requests and issues that arise during the project.
The idea is not to prevent changes, but how to manage them and agree on a course of action before execution.
THEME: What does the Progress theme refer to?
Describe how a project will be monitored and controlled to ensure project success. This allows project managers to check and control where a project is at, and is critical to ensuring not only that a project remains on-track, but also that there is awareness when this is happening.
