An issue is a relevant event that has happened, was not planned, and requires management action.

Q

Describe the 5 change management steps.

A

Capture - raise an issue and resolve informally or formally (daily log v. issue report)

Examine - determine what the issue is, the severity and priority, and the impact of the issue on plans/business case/project risk.

Propose - find solutions for the problem or ways to implement change, and evaluate each available solution

Decide - change authority to approve or reject.
* If the issue raises an exception, an exception report is prepared as well as an issue report.

Implement - if a solution was approved, defer or implement the solution as appropriate.
