The planning and working out of the movements of actors on stage
Blocking
A movement from one part of the stage to another
Cross
The direction an actor is facing relative to the audience, but from the actor’s perspective
Position
An expressive movement of the body or limbs
Gesture
A silent and motionless depiction of a scene created by actors, often from a picture
Tableau
platform on which the actors perform
Stage
a dramatic performance. A stage representation of an action or a story
Play
person who coaches or gives clue to the actor of the next word/phrase
Prompter
someone who writes plays
Playwright
responsible for running the show such as building the sets, changing the sceneries, handing the curtains, and other technical aspects of the production
Stage crew (run crew)
a male or female person who performs a role in a play, television, or movie.
Artist
the person who oversees the entire process of staging a production
Director
a group of artists working together to create a theatrical production
Ensemble
a theatrical work that is intentionally humorous
Comedy
a play that demonstrates a character’s fall from grace, power, position, or moral standing through his/her actions
