Q

Explain the water cycle

A
  1. Water starts in the ocean
  2. The sun warms the water and turns the top layer into a gas - evaporation
  3. The vapour rises and cools. It condenses, the water droplets gather together and form clouds.
  4. Eventually the clouds gather so much that they are too heavy and water is released as precipitation.
  5. The water falls on land or sea. If it falls on land it finds its way back to the sea in glaciers, rivers or through soil and rocks underground as groundwater.
  6. The process repeats - a continuous cycle.
