unlock ability to rotate particle placement
particle tab>+>hair>”advanced” checkbox>”rotation” check box and drop down menu.
for donut sprinkles and the such: “orientation axis”(dm) from “velocity/hair” to “normal”, “randomize”, “phase”, and “randomize phase” scales are used to set rotation placement. (for sprinkles on donut, mostly “randomize phase” to rotate horizontally, and a bit of “randomize”[first scale] to add a bit of vertical rotation.)
reference an object for the particle placements
within: particles tab,+,hair,render(drop menu),render as(DM) object, in object(dm), “instance object”(eye dropper tool)to select object to reference
to scale the reference object: “scale” under “render as” drop menu.
and randomness is under “scale”
weight paint scales
weight is the amount of heat/weight/red to blue or blue to red you want to apply. strength is how much transition towards the weight you want applied at once.
apply particles to weighted paint.
particles tab, vertex groups(dm)[scroll down, near bottom], density(dm), group
change object’s amount in instance collection
“use count”(cb) at the bottom of “collection”(dm).
