What are the bones used for?
They are used to support the body.
Protect vital organs.
Help the body move.
Make blood cells
Where is the skull?
It is a bony structure that forms the head and it is in your head.
Where is the jaw bone / mandible?
It is at the lower part of the skull.
Where is the collar bone/clavicle.
It is the bone directly above the rib cage.
Where is the sternum?
It is at the front pf the rib cage.
Where is the humerus?
It is the long bone in the upper arm located between the elbow joint and the shoulder.
Where is the ulna?
The ulna is located on the opposite side of the forearm from the thumb.
Where is the radius?
It is the longer bone in the forearm. It lies parallel to the ulna.
Where is the rib cage?
They are located inside the chest protecting the heart and lungs.
Where is the vertebral column?
It is placed behind the rib cage.
Where is the pelvis?
It is the base of the spine so it is placed at the hip.
Where is the femur?
It is the located at the thigh.
Where is the patella?
It is located in front of the knee joint. The knee. It is where the tibia and femur meet.
Where is the fibula?
It is placed at the lower leg and it is the smaller one.
Where is the tibia?
The tibia is a large bone located in the lower front portion of the leg.
