The Periodic Table Flashcards
How are the columns designed in the periodic table?
Elements with SIMILAR PROPERTIES are grouped in columns
What are the columns of the periodic table called?
Groups
Elements in the same groups, have the same number of [ ]
Electrons is their outer shell
What are the names for the final column?
Group 0
Noble Gases
How many electrons to the noble gases have in their outer shell?
What does this mean?
8 (apart from helium = 2)
They are STABLE and UNREACTIVE
